Industrial equipment field service technician, full time, permanent, 1 opening, day shift w/overtime

PPI sells and services air and gas compressors; backup and construction generators; compressed air treatment equipment such as dryers and filters; pneumatic pumps, tools, valves and accessories; centrifugal liquid pumps and seals.

Successful candidate will perform field service and preventive maintenance on a variety of industrial machines

• Minimum 5 years experience as industrial equipment technician
• Must be able to diagnose and repair air compressors, pumps, generators, engines and the electric/electronic control systems that drive them
• Self sufficient, work will often be performed in a field environment where additional technical assistance is not available
• Good driving record, ability to pass both a drug screening and background check
• PC literate--be able to type and use word processor (MS Word)
• Ability to work independently
• Perform assigned tasks in working with various shops, managers and other departments
• Thorough knowledge of tool use, shop procedures and mechanic's skills
• Be able to lift 70lbs
• Basic understanding of 3 phase electricity
• High School graduate minimum
• Own personal hand tools

• Experience with rotating equipment, such as generators, pumps and compressors required
